Update on the sales in Broadmead, Bristol

It's all happending around Broadmead, some of the shops have gone altogether and we've got some new ones, eg Peacocks. Noticed today that Ciro Citterio have a closing down sale: suits for £75, or buy two for £150. But at the more bargain end, they have jeans and jumpers for under a tenner, others on bogof, various shirts and t-shirts.

I really must get into Bristol centre when I'm next there. I was there for a week at Christmas (we go about 10-20 times a year to visit the outlaws), and noticed all the demolition work in Broadmead... I only moved away in November 2004... it's changed so much in that last year!

Tell me about it! I keep 'losing' shops and I'm usually down there AT LEAST once a month, sometimes several times a week!

Of course next time you come it might 'officially' be called Merchants Quarter, which is going down like a lead balloon among the locals, but I can't really see me thinking of it as anything but Broadmead for the rest of my life!
