Just saw on the news that a huge amount of homes in Lancashire are without gas supplies this morning and it is being suggested that the supply is unlikely to be reinstated before Christmas.

I do hope anyone affected will be able to make other arrangements for Christmas.

Its going to take so long as the Gas Board are having to go to every house affected and make sure that the supplies have been turned off at the mains, just had 2 guys at mine, but I turned it off last night.

We are affected too, the gas supply could be off over Christmas for us and 18000 plus other homes, we have gas CH and cooking facilities and we were doing Christmas dinner for 16 people plus more for tea. Jam butties are looking good now and the fan heaters are helping to keep us warm.
