Boots meal deals

I picked up a meal deal yesterday. If you choose a shapers sandwich then the meal deal is £2.49 (up North, might be more expensive for you Southerners). There is also a 50 points voucher in the January Boots magazine. The receipt shows the meal deal at £2.99, then 50p is deducted then 50 extra points are added.
Not sure if there are any restrictions to the number of Boots magazines one can take, since you do have to hand over your Advantage Card to get one. I have had two on one card, two separate transactions.

Just eating mine! Good value at £2.49 with 50 extra points :jYour greatness is measured by your kindness; your education and intellect by your modesty; your ignorance is betrayed by your suspicions and prejudices, and your real caliber is measured by the consideration and tolerance you have for others.

I went into Boots today and they said that I could either have the reduction of 50p on the Shapers meals or the 50 extra Advantage Points on the Shapers sandwich. They said you couldnt combine the two. So I paid 1.50 for the sandwich, gave in the coupon and got the 50 Advantage Points.0

That is so unfair. It states only one coupon per transaction, but doesnt say anything about not valid with a meal deal. I suggest you keep your receipt and send an e-mail to head office.0 -

I went for a shapers sandwich meal deal in Birmingham last week and got the 50 points too - If they say no to offers I always ask them to try scanning the voucher to see if it will work
I love it when it does, the look on their faces is brilliant when they see that you're right :rotfl: 0 -
I've been doing this a few times since new year (although my meal deals of £3.30 to start with). Only once out of about 5-6 times did the SA say I couldn't use both - but this was after he scanned my voucher and it worked anyway?!? Plus he gave me the voucher back so saved me nabbing another H&B Mag

One weird thing though is that I get the 50 points, but only 5 normal points???
I don't worry about it - but surely I should get 9 normal points??

Not sure if this is already well known but here goes.....
Boots meal deals now include soups as part of their meal deals.
but here is the catch, you can actually substitute your drink for the soup as part of the meal deal.
so in other words
any sandwich
any soup
any snack (crisps, chocolate etc...)
= meal deal (£2.99 for me £3.39 for others).
this is just the job on these cold winter daysNo reliance should be placed on the above.0 -
