Reduced toys/christmas stuff at Costco

Ellesmere port costco seemed to have reduced some of their christmas stuff-so not sure if it is every store.....

Dora Megablocks Superplayset £12 (give or take a few pence-Half the price it was at the weekend)-this is £29.35 @TOYSRUS

Bounce and spin zebra (Fisher Price) was about £20 (not sure exactly cos i didnt buy this!)

They had other toys reduced but not sure of the prices (had a 3month baby who was squawcking)

They also had some of their christmas treats reduced
the tower of treats (includes panetone, mince pies, shortbread, truffles and luxury chocs) for about a tenner (although im not sure how much these were originally)-lots of people seemed to be buying them though.

Florida Naturals Fruit snacks in candy canes (30pack) for a £1 these were £2 at the weekend and am sure were originally dearer than that.
HTH happy christmas

  • It seems that different Costcos have different toys reduced......for example Gateshead - Dora megabloks are normal price but they have reduced barbie stuff.

In Reading today the luxury hampers were half price. The Balmoral was £55 (inc Vat) which included a bottle of veuve clicquot champagne, a 2002 port and two bottles of wine. It also included lots of other bits like chocolates, biscuits, pate, relish etc and the hamper had cutlery and plates. It works out that the drink alone would cost more than £55 so great value for money.

The gingerbread houses were reduced to £2.97 from £9.99 and as mentioned before the toys were reduced. The Leapfrog Tag reading system was about £17 and included two books so a really good price.

I think it has been mentioned before, but if a Costco price ends in .97p then I was told that it has been reduced in price. For some reason Costco don't advertise the fact that a product has been discounted!

  • Tower of treats was about £7 tonight.
I bought a couple full price the other week

  • Thanks for this. I managed to get a Tower of treats today for £7 something and a v-tech kidimusic toy for £11 (RRP is £50!!). Also noticed that the Dalek voice changer was only £7, and there were quite a few other toys reduced. The candy cane fruits were 97p for 30 - i picked up 5 packs, but glad i didn't pay full price (about a fiver) as there are only a tiny amount in each one!

    This was Costco Bristol btw!

    Merry Christmas :)

  • Don't know how much it was before but the Hannah Montana secret pillow was just £8.01 inc VAT. My DD bought one with Christmas money and absolutely loves it.

I bought loads of stuff on Sunday at £9.97, including some pretty sizeable items. Good to see that the tower of treats is down even further in price - I might pop back on Monday as the two I bought have been received very well as presents.
  • do you mean chester costco or liverpools branch ?

Deals should be the same in every Costco depending on what remains unsold.

I would guess the genie means the Chester branch as I always think of that one as being Ellesmere Port too :rotfl:

Yeah looks good but until they do something about there joining fee I guess I will have to miss this one.

They have opened a branch near me BUT I have to pay £30 to shop in there store !!!

I do like Cost - Co as I used to be a member of the Watford branch years ago BUT in the current climate a £30 fee is tooo much.
