HI guys
Hope you can help me ?
I have a friend on another forum who is contemplating BR.
Their spouse works for one of the Debt collection agencies sometimes mentioned on here and they are worried that they could lose their job if they declared BR
I know that if you work in certain sectors that your job could be at risk - is this so if you work for a DCA
Thanks in advance for your help

If it was their partner then I cant see it being a problem, also as far as most of the DCA's go a criminal record or history of personal mismanagement would be a positive bonus to your employment prospects ( allegedly) It’s hard enough remembering my opinions - without remembering my reasons for them :rolleyes:0

Thanks File Wizard
both of them would be declaring BR
Ironically they have received letters from the agency they work for chasing some of their debts
Should they talk to someone in their place of work or just let the BR go through and take it from there
Any help or advice would be gratefully accepted as they are losing at lot of sleep over this and and very worried
Cheers

Why not suggest to your friend that they make an anonymous phone call to the HR department to find out where they would stand?

thanks Bargain Rzl
I am not sure if they could do that - I have already suggested this - they say that there is nothing in their contract to say that BR = dismissal
Thanks
