Has anyone converted their garage to living space?

Generally, it will just be building regs to convert a garage into living accomodation - unless you have a restrictive covenant on your house or you live in a conservation area etc.0

Your major problem ( well it would be mine!)is the building regs that cover insulation in the floor. To convert my single integral garage, would mean diging up the floor. Removing the concrete , insulation. damp proofing, relaying floor, gets expensive. What product could I use to seal the concrete0

I wouldnt bother about converting it back, a room's probably worh more than the garage (2 friends converted integral garages, house value went up)0
