Anyone use Fixture Ferrets?

I have been using the FREE service from www.madaboutbargains.co.uk/offers/Off_Your_Trolley.htm for some time now, great for searching out supermarket deals, bogof, 2 for 3, reductions etc. Overall a great free service.

I decided that I would join Fixtureferrets, membership costing just over a fiver. I thought that as a pay for service it maybe more up to date etc.

I couldnt believe it, once my membership was active I started searching deals, this coincided with the day after Tesco reduced thousands of products, The deals listed were very very limited, excluding hundreds of deals, this did not just happen in regards to tesco's, other store listings also.

I have emailed Fixtureferrets on no less than 3 seperate occasions, stating I was not happy and wanted my membership cancelled and my Money refunded, basiccally they do not offer an upto date valid service. All mail has been ignored. I tried from more than one email address, ruling out spam blockers etc.

Its doubtful I'll get my dosh back, my advice is steer clear, use the good old totally free madaboutbargains website.

I am in no way affiliated to the above mentioned, just an occasional browser when looking for a deal.

This is a totally biased view against us when we have been operating successfully and satifying our membership since we started back in 2002 - many of whom are loyal and renew each year, so we must be doing something right for the service we provided! (Incidently DjPleasure first registered with us in 2006 so he is well aware of what we offer).

He judges us on one day rather than the year round, ANNUAL service we provide which includes a free email alert notifying memebers of promotions of interest to them every week to 10 days. This is very popular part of our service and as far as far as we are aware, is not offered by other sites. Being a 'manual operation' we do our best to turn round the data that is audited in the stores as quickly and accurately as possible, but Xmas is always a very busy time. This is made clear in our Terms and conditions which he agreed to upon joining.

Also for the record there were over 500 offers featured with a saving of over £1 when he subscribed, so the bit he writes about not having hundreds of offers, is just untrue.

Hope he feels good about trying undermine a decent small business. All we ask is that you guys who are reading this keep an open mind.

I'm also a member of "Fixture Ferrets" I also emailed you a few monthes back as I wasn't happy about things being out of date on your site, I didn't accuse you of anything or bad mouth you in any way, but I never got a reply either.

I have never yet received an email alert from you informing me of promotions?

I sent several mails, all were ignored, when i put thief and ignorant in the following mail, i got a response, so as far as I am concerned, it is what it took to receive a response at all.

Before subscribing, full site content and member benefits are hidden.

I paid for full access, expecting an upto date service, this was not the case, substandard useless information.

Within monutes of joining, I ask for membership to be cancelled and refund given. Point blank refusal, hiding behind their terms and conditions that in a nutshell exclude Fixtureferrets from accepting any responsibility for anything.
You can object all you like, just like I object to you taking money on that occassion under (False pretence).

You do not have the time, or as you put in an email to me, "An army of staff" to keep the site up to date, therefore you should not offer a service you can not fully maintain. Not replying to paying cutomer emails/questions is not a good start is it!

I joined two days after Tesco reduced 1000's of products, this was broaadcast in the national press and media.......The Fixture ferrets site contain hardly any of the deals. I had to go to tesco Website and cross reference myself

I do like the way you use Xmas as an excuse, one day you will accept some responsibility yourself.

It feels that within this thread you are attempting to use this as a positive vessel for your pay for access site, not at any point have you accepted that perhaps things are or were not as they should be. You happily argued the toss and hid behind t&s and for what? the sake of a fiver.

In the end, I stated to keep the fiver as they obviously need it more than I do.

If you want an unreliable service, feel free, pay up, I hope it goes well for anyone that does.

In the meantime though, in a Moneysaving way, get it all for free, reliable, friendly, site below. As sstated, i was a frequent visitor of the site below, i just thought perhaps it would be more upto date and featuresome to pay for the subscription to Fixtureferrets.

Five pound out of pocket? no that doesnt feel good, decent business? sorry but there has to be a level of customer service before you can state good. Open mind? I am sure they will do so, as well as consider the free option below.

www.madaboutbargains.co.uk/offers/Off_Your_Trolley.htm is what I intend to continue to use, as well as what I shall continue to recommend.

I am sure there are many home study courses on customer relations, perhaps you ought to read up? just a suggestion

I look forward to seeing your response to Izzy339

    Update:
(Incidently DjPleasure first registered with us in 2006 so he is well aware of what we offer).

Perhaps correct, incidently this was when it was a free service and nothing was hidden, nearly 3 years on I was excited at the concept of their 3 years experience and so called benefits of becoming a paying member. My Mistake

Firstly, the fact that you quote a passage from a private email from one of your clients on a public forum and you expect to thought of as a professional business is ludicrous. What you've just done is absolutely out of order - people sue for breaches of privacy like that.

Secondly, I joined fixture ferrets and to be honest, I'm not overwhelmed with the deals they have on offer or the frequency with which they update them. I am just astounded they quote private emails on a public forum. Bang out of order.

I agree - there is nothing about Fixture Ferrets which makes it better than the free service that is offered by Madaboutbargains.

Djpleasure Check your rights under distance selling. It is only a small of amount of money I know, but if (and I state 'If' as I don't know the rules properly myself) these rules are being violated the relevant authorities should be informed

And to FixtureFerret . If you wish people to view your service with an open mind, you should offer a free trial period so that they may try your service without having to pay up front.

Hate to resurect an old thread... but I was also going to join, but have decided against it. Unless they have a free tial membership, then I'll stick with all the other free sites.

I have to say that response from Fixture Ferrets has really put me off joining them. What terrible publicity for them. All created by themselves as I would not have gone on just one bad review from one person. They really put their foot in it with that response. What terrible customer service. I am all for small business but they have to treat their customers with more respect than this.
