Can't connect to facebook using Internet Explorer?

This is weird. Firefox connects fine, but for some reason the comment buttons don't work in Firefox. So I've tried connecting with IE but that waits a bit and then comes up with:

Sorry, an error has occurred.

We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.

What is going on?

Ok, my wife had this for two days and we thought it was her PC, but it was not...

Use this link. (Link takes you to another section of facebook)

However, you can navigate to your usual place and gain entry into Facebook using your password/username in the top r/h side of the screen.

I have no idea what they have done, must be a cookie or the cache thing, but like others cleaned everything out on my wifes laptop and it still did not work, yet my desktop did upstairs as I originally thought it may be Virgin Media or an IP issue....

    Hope that works.

If it does, highlight it in your browser and copy/paste to your desktop to create a shortcut or drag and drop too.

Good luck and hope it works... :j I did wonder why my wife ahad stopped using her laptop and was moody! This answered the reason why when she said it to me what you reported above.... I have looked on the web and nothing really reported about it either..
