Change of current account

If I change my current account will this adversely affect my chances of getting a mortgage? If so, who with?
Thanks

No - it should have no adverse effect on a mortgage application.

Unless the new bank does a credit check on you, then too many credit checks could have an effect.

One credit check to open a bank account should not cause a problem

But the length of time you have been with a bank can affect how a lender views you.

May be you can leave your old current account in dormant state, so when asked for 'years/months with bank?" you can use the data pertaining to your old account.

I don't believe it has any adverse affect if your credit file shows more than one current account - does anyone know?
