Not really. I know people with higher mortgages but then I live in London and work in the South East.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

To be honest, if Banks looked at a lot of mortgages over the past 5 years they would find a lot of anomolies. Similarly, the Banks have been pretty irresponsible buying up junk debt and over-reaching themselves, so they are hardly whiter than white. And lets not forget that, in some cases, fraudulent mortgage applications are no bar to a top job with the EU or the House of Lords.
What I object to with these cases is the Banks expect the taxpayer to support their stupidity and greed, but they don't seem willing to extend the same support to their customers.0
