  • But you are more likely to get something if you order a small amount, than if you order enough to supply the whole of China

So 100's of single orders for the same game, on top of normal orders, would go un-noticed?

Just saying that it's more likely to be honoured by HMV if people only order enough for 'personal use only'

If they have someone monitoring the site 24 hours a day, it is less likely to get noticed if individuals just order one or two copies.

The alarm bells will go off quicker if many people order 100 copies, as an extreme example.

The more people allowed to get the bargain the better for everyone on this forum :)

This arguement over how many people should order is going to go on forever, we are just going to accept people will buy a load for re-sale and there is nothing we can do about it, lets just leave it at that? ::)
Not very confident with this one anyway as they are well covered - it looks like it was £1.99 a few days ago, then went back up to £19.99 and is £1.99 again looking on another forum ???

The Gamecube was more likely to be honoured if people only ordered enough for personal use.

If they have someone monitoring the site 24 hours a day.. I've thought of another job for them.

As for disclaimers, Tesco had a rock solid one but forgot to use it.

    Sorry, I ordered three.

I missed this game for £1.99 one day ago, and was upset. Now it's done. You can use Rpoints!
    Thanks for posting this offer!

Still looks like they have the edge
HMV must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted, and the contract formed. Payment is not taken until the point of despatch of the goods to you. Once payment has been received HMV will confirm that your order has been received by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your registration form. The shipment email will include your name, the order number and the total price. HMV s acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms. Any term sought to be imposed by you in your order will not form part of the contract.

Unless they send you that shipment e-mail
