toys r us problem

i am probably posting this in the wong area, but i need some help, we have been after a wii fit for a while nro, anyway cut a long story short, we started using one of those websites that advises when a product comes into stock, this morning it came in stock at toys r us, but by the time i pressed submit after entering all address and payment details it had gone back out of stock and would not let me order, well in the space of an hour or so, it kept on coming into stock and again each time by the time my details were entered it had again sold out, this happened about 8 times, now the only problem is looking at my online bank account, after doing his, i have noticed that my available funds have shrunk by about £600:eek:, does anybody know if this is common practice, will the money just return to my account in a couple of days, or are toys r us trying to claim money that does not belong to them as they are not able to provide me with any stock, why they would keep on asking for the money is beyond me, do they think i would really want 8 wii fits in the space of an hour, the good news is i managed to get one from john lewis when they came into stock:T, any help gratefully appreciated, TIA Dave

EDIT: mods if this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it.
Take every day as it comes!!

  • I would call you bank if you are telephone banking and ask them to cancel any payments going out. I am sure they will not take out any money but it might mean otherwise you are short of funds for a few days
