Help - Soft and Doughy Tear N Share Type Bread Recipe Needed

I'm looking for a really soft and doughy tear n share type of bread recipe. I've done hours and hours of searches over the last couple of months for one... and haven't found one yet.

Maybe there's a magic word I am not using...

Does anybody have one of these soft doughy recipes? For a breadmaker preferably.

I am thinking it could be used for things like:
- cheese/onion bread
- garlic bread
- rosemary bread
- sun-dired tomato bread

Probably as individual rolls too.

  • Do you mean with a soft crust, or do you really mean doughy inside?

Ahaaaaa I know exactly what you mean as I was looking for the same recently and couldn't find one.

Find the recipe on here for Apple Braids - use the dough recipe and use cheese/herbs/garlic etc to flavour it, its nice with olive oil drizzled over the top before cooking - I did this recently for guests at dinner and the whole lot was gone in minutes!!!

Gloriously soft and doughy - perfection IMO!

Its the perfect recipe to adapt as I make iced buns with it too! :) Credit to DD&D I think for the recipe. Its so light and mouthmelting that DS, DDs and I eat the whole lot sometimes before Mr Frugal gets home ooops!

Sorry - I cannot find the recipe but am sure someone will post a link :)
  • the link to the recipe is on the first page of the GC, hang on a tic....

    ok it is here

  • ive got some receipes for bread where the dough is made in the breadmaker and then finished off in the oven, not sure if its what your looking for though.

focaccia with rosmary - could omit the rosemary
    ciabatta
    brioche
    french bread

let me know if any of those receipes are any good and i will pm them to you.

Those two would sound most likely.

I don't know what brioche is. I always think of french bread as being crusty and I definitely don't want crusty.
