Any ideas ??

hi
i only found this website today and ive been on here hours, looking at many things.
Me and my partner are trying to save and pay our debts off including the mortgage.
We are just wondering if anyone has any ideas on the Best banks for a basic joint current account, I had an account with Barclays and would never use them again they could never get anything right.
We are also planning on opening a Joint Savings account to so if anyone has any suggestions on this it would be gratefully recieved.

But the main question is (if i havent asked to much already is ) We are looking into moving our mortgage to get a better deal the mortgage at the moment is in his name but we are going to change it in to joint names the amount left on it is approx £36,000 and with the Abbey, Does anyone know of any good mortgages or deals that are about at the moment?

Thanks

  • Best thing to do is speak to a broker, tell them what you want and they will get it for you. you may want a fixed rate or a tracker, who knows. Halifax from sometime this week will be reviewing their product range, and as of last week the best fixed rate they could offer was 4.74%. For them its quite a way off the pace. I would like to see them in the realms of 4.5% fixed. If this sort of thing is for you keep an eye on their website. They also do gd tracker morts.

not leaving nationwide out, currently 4.59% fixed 2 years and 4.54% tracker 2 years. Hope this helped.

There are lots of good deals out there - looking at some comparison sites on the web may help to find some.

Which ones will suit you best, will depend on your individual circumstances such term left, value of property, your incomes and other current financial commitments.
