Making "Barbeque flavoured" pastry.

I've developed a liking for Barbeque flavoured Hula Hoops and would like to cheat the system and bake make some savoury pastry nibbles tasting like them at home. Can anybody give me a recipe or suggest what products/flavourings I could add to the pastry mixture to produce a similar taste? I'm not sure whether the Barbeque spices you can buy in spice jars would produce the right result. Are there larger, more economical packs which would have the same effect?

I'm not sure if there's much you could add to pastry to make it barbeque flavoured without it going tough as old boots ... I wonder though if you could make something like a cheese straw/a palmier with folded puff pastry, if you brushed it with barbeque sauce as you folded it?

I would try smoked paprika, garlic and onion powders / granules. I use these to make my own fajita seasoning, which has a lovely smokey flavour
