Didn't know you could? Thought you had to appear in court...

I think you'll find that this is just the forms you need to fill in. You would download the forms, print them out and then present them at the County Court. I looked into this when I declared. You will find it easier to go to a county court (if you live near one) and pick up the forms. It's a lot simpler and they'll give you some more information to go along with it as well.

I have tried and managed to lose the info i had entered so gave up and used paper forms. I agree with kevker.

kevker's right, you can fill in the forms online, and 'submit' them, but you still have to print them out and take them (with 2 extra photocopies) to the court in the normal way, if you want to officially file for BR.

apparently it can speed things up in some situations as the OR will get all the information quicker (as they get the electronic and then also the paper copy). you can also get copies of all the extra information on the insolvency website.

it will also be nicely typed out, and easier for the judge & OR etc to read. But, you do need a decent ink cartridge, which has been my stumbling block, so i have got a paper form.

thanks for the info all.. think i'll fill them out online and then print them out.. my handwriting isn't the best in town..
  • agree with oriana it is helpful to the OR is you complete online as the ibnformation from the statement of affairs is sent electronically to the OR's database. And looks much neater!
