How long should a prize take to arrive?

I received an email from videogamer.com to confirm that I had won an Xbox and they said it would be in the post soon. It is now 5 weeks later and still no sign of the Xbox. I've emailed the site and they said that it was in the hands of the promoter.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes to receive your prize? I was hoping to give it as an Xmas pressie, but it looks like it may not get here in time

I had a mobile phone turn up months after the competition ended, I didn't know I'd won so it was a nice surprise. I've also had a win turn up today from May:eek: another I didn't know I'd won.
It seems to take quite a long time for some companies to get thing to the promoters.
My washing machine has just taken 7 weeks.
I would worry as long as they're communicating with you.

Tell them that although its in the hands of the promoter, its down to them to chase down the promoter, because it was videogamer that were running the competition, its their duty to make sure the prizes actually are awarded.

However, has the competition ended, and if so, did it say how long it could take for the console to arrive.

It has ended, but they didn't say how long it would take, just that the promoters are dealing with the prize. Here's a link to it anyway
