  • Hi, Tesco have just ventured into downloadable music from 79p a track. It is the cheapest around and you can get pretty much anything you want.

  • :)Thankyou - I will give it a go - Most sites I have looked at seem to want a monthly fee so 79p is perfect...

    Try bignoisemusic.com

It's 75p per track and 10p in every £1 you spend goes to Oxfam.

Oops - actually looked in detail at the prices now and they START at 75p - when you buy mega credits.

    Don't bother unless you need 100s!! ;D

I wouldn't reccomend downloading them for free by going to http://www.winmx.com and downloading their file share software as it is illegal. ;-)

Whenever I visit a client who is having virus or spyware problems, and there are more and more of them, then 100% of the time they, or usually their kids, have also been involved in free music downloading. The average invoice I give them to sort their systems out is around £85. Makes free music great value ;-) The only person winning is me!!!

Of course, there are no doubt many others who just continue using infected systems, passing on viruses to all and sundry. No such thing as a free lunch ... be warned.

Use one of the recommended sites and pay for what is someone elses copyright output. Perhaps 79p is still not brilliant value, but if you choose your tracks carefully then it is very good. If you download all sorts then it can become very expensive.

I always used mycokemusic.com buying tracks for 99p a go and at 128Kbits/s sound quality, however Tesco's tracks are 79p and 192Kbits/s so a much better 'near CD' quality sound, every little helps ;)

Worth noting (as I only realised this too late) that if 'buying' tracks through I tunes you can only download them to there ipods rather than mp3/wma type players
  • That is why http://www.Tescodownloads is so good. With Itunes, you can only play them on an Ipod. Tesco, works on any Mp3 player. Tesco are taking over the world lol.

Also I can't believe that other guy charges them £85 to get rid of spyware. Adaware is free from lavasoft lol.

As far as I know this is not true, you can burn the track to any cd as a cd track and then import it to ur players 'software..

The cheapest is https://www.allofmp3.com they are russian and extremely cheap whether its legal or not remains to be seen,

Just remember you can't get a virus from a mp3 file, its clicking popups and visiting pr0n sites that give you spyware....
