How to tranfer money from India to UK

Guys, not sure if this is the right forum (point me), but does anyone know how I can transfer money from India (INR) to UK (in GBP) - ofcourse wiht as little as possible fee and good exchange rate?

I think india still has currency controls so to be honest, you cant do it really. not easily anyways.
Just go to a bank and do a international payment- show them a invoice or something0 -
most of the Indian banks do international trnasfer as long as you have a sort code and account no for a UK based bank. depening on the amount you want to transfer, there might be a commision. for smaller amounts, western Union is an option as it is straight forrward and fast. otherwise through banks- which can take a few days for the transfer.
regarding the limits, Reserve Bank of India has kept a threshold of $100,000 for any financial year, so upto £ 60k is doable at any one time.
talk to your bank in India and make sure you ask for the commision and days taken for the transfer.0
