  • Hi enomad - this is a great thread and very interesting! :T It is great to see the alternative view of things and the tips will be useful for lots and lots of people.

Have a great Xmas and New Year! :santa2:
  • Hi enomad
Our mortgage is with ge money and is fixed so far they have been quite helpful what I wanted to know Is £10 acceptable as a small payment if I cannot make my mortgage payment. I know I am not going to be able to meet it by the end of the month when it is due, but the lady I spoke to today (at GE money) suggested that I ring them if I cant make payment and make a token payment, then they would be able to split the overdue payment over 2/3 months.
Would this be reasonable? Do you know how GE Money are as a company?
I really appreciate you getting back to me and think all your advice so far is great. Thanks :D
  • Hi I would be grateful for any advice as my mortgage company are ignoring me. I am with Capstone and got into slight arrears when my husband was ill We can now make the agreed mortgage repayments, but they are charging us £50 per month whilst we are in arrears. I cant afford an extra £50 plus a month so the arrears are spiralling due to their charges. Any advice? Thankyou.

Are you talking to them or are you just accepting what they are saying to you?

Try sending a letter by recorded delivery. They are bad for ignoring letters etc unless you can prove that you have sent them.
