LOYALTY CARDS - Please help!!

Hi,
Im currently working on a dissertation which is looking at the use of loyalty card schemes in retail enviornments.
In particular, im interested in finding out about the type of loyalty that participation in such schemes breeds amongst its users, the motivations behind joining such schemes, how often you make use of cards and how you redeem the rewards that you earn.
I was therefore wondering if anyone out there could spare 5mins or so to discuss their main motives behind using such schemes?

Personally I wish loyalty cards were scrapped. They cost millions to administer and waste acres of plastic and paper. Just reduce prices instore, surprising how that attracts customer loyalty.If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
