  • I got mine today :)

A bit good and a bit bad.

    1st up
    12" Laptop Bag Belkin NeuElements
    http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Product_Id=254658
Very nice, but my laptop is 15.4" (good job I got a Jivo one in my last BOC)

    2nd
the Maxell Headphone Splitter (always useful)

    3rd
OPP Wrapping Sleeve For Slim Half Size DVD Case  (doubt I'll ever use these)

    4th
    Belkin USB Anywhere
    http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=28&ref=googlebase&id=28
    (awesome! almost worth the £10.98)

    5th
    Sony Cybershot DSC W50
a nice camera, no battery or cables though

    Finally, 6th
Aopen Xrecorder VX2000 Tuner and Hardware MPEG Encoder
    https://www.boffer.co.uk/blog/view.php?boffer_id=362
again, no cables or software, just the Hardware & it's remote.

£13 to shell out for Battery & Charger for the camera.
And a 5V MainsAdapter for the Aopen XRecorder to work.

    Overall not a bad B.O.C
  • Thanks to all who are sharing the information about the BOCs.

I feel it is almost prophetic in my case. There are so many of you 'techies' that actually know what some of these components are. My computer knowledge is solely knowing how to push the power button on my antiquated tower. I haven't got a clue about what some of this stuff is that you are receiving!

It is only right and fitting that I got a flask (much appreciated) and a dolls stroller (with a lovely little girl in mind). Some of you would probably think it really is a BOC if you had received my loot. Now if we could always count on this sort of distribution at BOC time, all would be well.

For some reason this is really tickling me and I am laughing at myself right now. And I'm not even au fait with computers enough to know how to use 'smilies' or 'emoticons'. Or to be comfortable enough to type 'lmao'!

It must be the season - I'm thrilled with my flask and stroller and will continue to order BOCs every chance I get. Each time praying that I don't receive anything computer related. It's a mystery why I even hang out at sites like Boffer and BigPockets isn't it?

Must be the mulled wine because this is the chattiest I have ever been on this forum. Thanks to all of you that stay awake all night on Bofferthons, etc and keep us all so entertained.

"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Nooooooooooooooooo... Now a silver mp3 player."

Didn't one of you have to leave to have a job interview with Sainsbury's? I hope you got the job!

Happy Christmas to all of you in this community. And thanks for providing so much fun and silliness to those of us that usually just 'lurk' (is that the word?).

    Peace to all

Gotta love that Mulled Wine. I know I do.

I would have been pretty upset if I had got your BOC (although, I was hoping for that Flask), luckily, this one was pretty good for me. Would have been better if the camera had a battery or even just a charger.

I finally got Immodium-d (i.e. my BOC turned up :rotfl: ) I was really impressed. I got:

A really good quality laptop bag
    A telephone extension lead
Universal remote (very helpful when you have 2 young children who hide things)
....and.... an MP3 player! 2gb, very handy seeing as my old one finally gave you the ghost a couple of weeks ago :D

    Thank you BigPockets!

  • I'm absolutely thrilled with my BOC :D

one firewire card (DH was wanting one to fit to our middle son's tower anyway)
headphone splitter, promptly claimed by daughter for use on school trips to save her sharing headphones with her mate
and a classic style navy riding jacket for me :j quilted with corduroy collar, slightly smaller than I would have bought but it fits and I always wanted one of these when I was younger. At least now I have a jacket for wandering round the farm where we live and looking the part :rotfl:
