ONKYO TX-SR606 AV Amp £300 delivered!

If you are in the market for an AV Amp and want to buy the ONKYO 606 then call HIFIX (Frank Harvey Hi-Fi Excellence) in Coventry and you can have this for £300 delivered!!!! At this price you will not get the HDMI lead free which is on their website. The cheapest I have seent this is £340 elsewhere and if you look around you will not find it cheaper at this time.

or alternatively see whether you can find last years 705 model which is a a higher end amp (despite being a year old).

The only benefit the 606 has over the 705 is the extra HDMI input.

for sound and build quality though the 606 is soundly trumped by the 705.

In the field of amplifiers you tend to find that the last years model from the higher range will beat the newer model from the latest range.. ie when the 705 was out the lower spec model was the 605, these were then replaced by the 606 and the 706.

However the 705 is clearly superior to the newer 606.

NOT spam at all.

We (me and friends at work) brought some (Onkyo 605) from these guys earlier this year and he was working out an offer for me as we spent a small fortune in one afternoon there. Said that if anyoine i knew wanted one then to go directly to him and he would honour this price to them too as he has done again for me.

Why would this be spam when i can pass on details that can help someone???

I would have gone for one up than the 606 but this was in my price range.

Also, I the 606 is the better option as it upscales "all" inputs which the 605 didn't do. The older versions only upscalled up to component but the 606 upscales composite input too, hence upgrading mine from a 605 to a 606.

No not spam, been on the look out for AV amps as I will in the market for one after christmas, not sure whether its "grabit now" material though
