I work in the stock room for go outdoors (used to be ccc) in Sheffield (which is why im always a bit more clued up on the sales) and our sale starts boxing day in store and christmas day online. Litterally everything in the sale will be a while stocks last policy so its a first come first serve deal.
Also theres rumors of them doing a 'deal of the day' for ten days starting boxing day too (not sure what the products are, its tight lipped right now)
Its walking gear, camping equipment, tents, climbing gear, cycling
https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk is the website. Its all going live Christmas day as a 'preview' for the online customers.
So if you dont fancy watching the wizzard of oz/great escape/generic christmas day film

Yeah ive noticed a lot of mixed reviews online. I guess it's down to personal experience. We do do the price guarantee thing if you find stuff cheaper anywhere else.
But i wont be twisting anyones arms lol, just thought id give out a heads up for anyone interested in outdoor stuff.0 -
Thanks very much dogtown, without people like you we would sometimes struggle to find the bargains. One by one the penguins steal my sanity.0

Theres nothing that is really that interesting on the go outdoors sale at the moment, its all hi gear and regatta, rubbish stuff. Even the web site is wrong as they are calling it the summer sale.0

The thing with go outdoors is there is never anything in stock. Take the tv ads promoting certain products, you ring up straight away and are told there is no stock/ they don't stock the product.
It's even worse when you turn travel all the way there only to be told something similar. Just ploys to get you in store in the hope you'll buy something else while there.
The sale items on the site don't look too inviting to be honest, the prices have been put up and 'reduced' to their previous prices so not really a 'sale'.0
