Christmas Morning Picky Snacks...Ideas?

Hi all, we are going to my Mums for xmas lunch this year but because we are the only ones in the family with children, everyone congregates as ours on Christmas morning to see the little ones open their things from Father Christmas.....
Now I don't feel that I need to provide a full breakfast as I don't want to be tied up in the kitchen and miss the kids presents but I would like to have a tray of something to offer round with coffee. I was thinking of something like choc or almond croissants but they're quite expensive in Tesco and I'd need quite a few so I was wondering if anyone had a any good ideas or recipes for something similar...? Also it would be preferable if they could be made in advance to maybe just reheat if necessary on the day....thanks in advance, any ideas/suggestions welcome....

Do you have access to Costco? They do huge trays of pain au chocolat or croissants. Otherwise I think bacon butties are a fab idea because you can leave the bacon in the oven to keep warm until everyone arrives0

I always do xmas at mine but the family arrives about 10am so they can watch dd open her presents. I usually do bacon sarnies and tea.0

Mini bagels with philly and smoked salmon. There are lots of smoked salmon offers around at the moment so shouldn't be too pricey.0

How about muffins? They're quick to make and you could even have the dry ingredients and wet ingredients measured out the night before, and then on the day you just need to mix up the batter and bake?2015 comp wins - £370.25
