Childrens christmas party

does anyone know of any cool christmas party games for little children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 7 (most between 5 and 7) please?
I don't mind getting some little prizes, for something like passy the parcel (and I'm tempted to get them to play dead lions :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) and musical statues is ok, but I couldn't bare them playing musical bumps or musical chairs (not easy games for a disabled woman to organise, lol)

If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!

If most are between the age of 5 to 7, youve got the perfect age group, for the usual party games, musical bumps, statues, trarric lights, red (stop) amber (jump up and down), green go, ships ahoy game, where you have diferent sayings and they have to do something to it
scrub the decks - bend and pretend to stretch
climb the rigging - pretend to climb
captains here -
Things like that
Pass the parcel, but put a little sweet in each layer, makes it more exicitng.
Good luck and have fun, is there anyone else you could rope in to help you with the party. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

My dd was 6 in Sept, she shared her party with her friend and we had 35 kids!
What I did with the food was sent a list to the parents andmade each child their own box of food (got party boxes off ebay £16.00 got 40 boxes), figured saved food as each child got what they wanted.
I did
Cheese sandwich
ham sandwich
egg sandwich
(1/4 of a sandwich each)
cocktail sausages
chucnk of dairylea or mini baby bel
pack crisps
bottle juice.

Corners always goes down well at our parties: draw 4 Christmassy images on 4 sheets of paper, e.g. a snowman on 1, father Christmas on another - and pin up in four corners of the room. Draw the same 4 images on 4 smaller pieces of paper and hide in an envelope (tbh I always use clipart and just print them). When the music stops the children have to run to 1 of the four corners, someone (usually an adult) picks one of the corners at random from the envelope, any child in that corner wins a small sweet, then start all over again. Alternatively the chosen corner can be the 'losing' corner and everyone in that corner is out - repeat until there is only 1 left, however we've had problems with this one as kids always want to keep dancing and it's hard to keep track of who is still in the game. Also it's very hard to split up the last few and you end up with several winners or none at all.
We adapt this game for birthdays, easter and halloween too.0 -
We're having a few of my boys' friends round next week for a Xmasy get together. I've ordered a 'stick the nose on the snowman' game from ebay but I think you could easily make your own (which I will do if mine doesn't arrive in time for the party!). If you have no clue what I'm on about, I've bought this... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=260333444348
I got a couple of little prizes from Tesco - all their Xmas craft stuff was half price earlier in the week.
I haven't done this but seen it done at another party - pass the parcel but what gets passed around is an object (for Xmas theme the object could be a toy snowman/reindeer/santa...). When the music stops and a child is holding the object they get to go and have a rummage in a box/treasue chest/santa sack etc (that you have pre-filled with sweets/prizes). This means everyone gets to have a turn and everyone can get the same prize but you don't have all that wrapping of parcels
I'm sharing the food prep with the other mums who are coming so one's bringing pizzas that I'll cook, another bringing sausage rolls and cocktail sausages, another bringing carrot and cucumber sticks and I'm going to make fairy cakes and something else but not sure what yet!
Good luck and enjoy it

We are having a girls Christmas party next week aswell. I posted about a similar subject a few weeks ago.
I bought everyone "paint your own mugs" to do at the party (will take home filled with sweets), musical elves and pass the parcell (bag of chocolate coins). After all the games, playing and mini buffet just for the few kids the morning will end with a disco to Christmas music. I have hairbands as prizes in the musical elves round.....
Have never had a kids Christmas party before but I hope they all have tons of fun. One of the mum's has volunteered to help me out. Brilliant.
For God knew in His great wisdom
That he couldn't be everywhere,
So he put His little Children
In a loving mother's care.0
