Halfords various Children's Bike Accessories £1 Collect in store

I reserved all the barbie things, went to go and get them, found them in the bargain bin in the end with £3 stickers on. But TBH I wouldn't even give £1 for them, and told the SA that too. The bottles and horns were all dirty and the stickers peeling off, the sadle cover had a knife slash through the centre of it. So I told them to keep them.
Thanks to the OP though, Im sure not every store will have let them get in such a state!0 -
Just ordered two extra "cheapie" gifts for Christmas from Halfords. Super dooper deal. Thanks.0

Just a warning - don't know if it will happen to anyone else. I ordered a Barbie horn and seat cover which were apparently in stock at my local store. I received a confirmation e-mail to say that they were being reserved for me.
However, when I got there I was told that they don't have any in stock. Couldn't quite work out what was going on as my two littlies were tearing round the shop at the time (!) but apparently the stock on the computer doesn't seem to bear any relation to actual stock. So if you are having to make a special journey like I did, it might be worth phoning the store first.
By the way, if this does happen, it might be worth standing your ground. I expressed my disappointment (very politely I promise!) and they offered to sell me a similar horn for the same price of £1. I also got a Bratz seat cover for a £1 too although would have definitely preferred the Barbie!!
Hope you don't have the same problems0 -
Ooh
The same thing happened to me, I reserved 2 x barbie Horn and 1 x boys horn for my 3 kids, when i got there they said they did not have the Barbie and had not had them for 7 months, I asked why it was reserved they said that until they do a stocktake what the system says bears no relation to actual stock:mad:
I had waited 20 minutes in the queue (they are soooo slow at burnley), and although I was polite the "Tim nice but dim" cashier said he could not let me have the same Barbie ones I could see on the shelf for £1.00 but he could let me take them for £4.99 each
He looked most put put when i said no, and that he could keep the boys one (which did look all clean), as he had been hunting for that for ages (but you know what kids are like, if one gets a super bell and the other 2 have nothing)
I was annoyed that I had parked in town and waited in the queue,...but well done to anoyone who got them0
