I'm trying to rebuild my credit rating and wondered if there are any credit card companies other than Vanquis that may give someone a card who has a poor credit history?

The first two declined, Capital One said yes.

Be careful Geo i had a card with capital one, a credit rebuilder, they are very quick to let you borrow more and up your credit limit. but good luck anyway

Good advice. I've learned my lesson (I hope!) and am determined to only use it in place of available cash that can then be used to pay off the card each month. I've had the card about a week and haven't used it. Pretty much forgot it's there!
