Batteries 4 Presents Stored??

Hi All.
Just wondering..if you are like me and are storing for example, singing buggy bunch and barney toy away for b'day pressies..what are you doing about the batteries in them???
Some gifts you cant get to without removing the batteries but if you leave them in will they leak??? What do you think??

well im sure they are fine...otherwise wudnt batteries that are sold seperately in stores leak if they wernt sold? i think they only leak if are used extensively or used a lot then left0
