Letter of Complaint to Philips

I bought my Nephew a portable Philips DVD player for Christmas and there is a problem with the screen.

I think the problem is with the pixels breaking down. The DVD has been returned to the shop and has been sent for repair.
My poor Nephew is now having to wait for it to be returned.

I wanted to write to "The Top Dog!" at Philips but I dont know who it is. Can anyone suggest how I can find this information out?

Many Thanks

I don't mean to be rude, but do you only ask questions and never give out answers. I wouldn't mind looking it up for you if you'd been helping other people, but you've got nearly 500 posts and not a single "thanks"

It looks like you've had people running round researching things for you for quite a while. Why don't you put it in google and see what it comes up with?

Great idea! That's all cougar and I would probably do anyway.
  • It is possible, I suppose, that the OP has provided help in the past and it's just that no-one has clicked the "Thanks" button.

However a quick look at her posts show that WPC is guilty of asking for advice, getting it and not clicking the "Thanks" button, so what goes around, comes around.

However, in the spirit of MSE friendliness, go to the How to Complain website and type in the company name. You will get loads of advice on there and the address of the company HQ.

That gum you like is coming back in style.
  • I thanked you because Gegloo is such a cool name!

Does anyone else really love it on the days when Gegloo have their logo decorated or changed? It really brightens my working day! Now all we have to wait for is National Anagram Day to experience the full beauty of Gegloo illustrated, so i can find out what a Geg is.....:p
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • PS WPC - I don't mind that you don't thank people, as you do this sometimes in your text. But looking at your threads - and I've read several in the past - it is really frustrating that you never let us know how the story ends!!!

Did you ever get the money back or your TV? (for example)........ :o

without getting involved in a slagging match or witchhunt (or without looking back through wpc's previous posts ) please bear in mind that the "thanks" tab has only been in use for quite a few months and wpc has been registered since dec2003 - when there was no "thanks " tab.......... but i don't like people not thanking me either ;)

Whats this "Have a go at WPC day?"

Thank you to all those who have provided me with information I requested. I have pressed the "Thanks" button, honest.

As per albalad post its only a recent option to press the "Thank" button.
I have posted suggestions to people, so it's not just one sided!
I thought this was a friendly site ?!?

When ever I have seen any bargains and I attempt to post them but when I check the site someone else has beaten me to it. I'm sure Martin wouldn't want us duplicating posts.

No, the television didn't arrive Jobbingmusician but I did get a full refund from the credit card company thankfully.

No, you had posted nearly 500 posts asking people to go around looking for things for you and I didn't think that was very fair. People spent time looking through sites and searching for things for your requests. I'm glad you're aware of that, but most people would have amassed a few thanks over 500 posts! I don't have a problem with you not clicking the thanks button if thats what people accused you of.

It looked like a one way street. Yes, we should be nice to each other, but I'm not running round looking for something because some stranger who doesn't seem to help other people told me to.

Sorry if you think I'm having a go - I probably am.
