Offset Mortgage - Newcastle Building Society

Hi
Does anyone have any postive or negative experience of the above. They are offering a fee free (no valuation or legal or application fee) offset remortgage at what seems to be a pretty decent rate.
I have a fair amount which I could offset but do not want to tie it up. I filled out an online thing a few days ago and the message said they would call me back and send the pre completed application form. However nothing seems to have happened and you can't download their mortgage forms.
I wouldn't want to be lumbered with a non performing lender!
If anyone else has experiences of good fee free (or almost) I'd be grateful

I've got a Coventry Building Society offset mortgage. Interest rate fixed at 4.99% for 2 years. I don't know if that is the cheapest offset around but there customer service has proved excellent. They also offer free valuation and some legal deal on re-mortgages.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. same thing here I filled in the forms they said they would get back to me but they did not :-(
So here I am still looking for the best offset around.
