Hi
I have a 7 1/2 month old baby and am currently on maternity leave from a government dept. I plan to take the full 12 months off work so my return to work date is early May 2009. My package from work includes 6 months full pay, 3 months SMP and 3 months no pay. I've just found out that I'm pregnant again !! due end of August 2009. Does anybody know if I'll be entitled to the same package again? Do I need to go back sooner than May 2009 to qualify for the full package again?
Any help gratefully received
Thanks

Hi,
As far as i was told when i went on mat leave from HMRC i had to return to work for 12 weeks after my leave to be counted as a full service employee. I'd get in touch with the HR dept and check tho.

Hi
Read up on
http://www.askbaby.com/returning-to-work.htm "Pregnant again"
and
http://www.worksmart.org.uk/rights/my_maternity_leave_is_about_to_finish
just about covers it.

You will def be entitled to start Mat leave and SMP again, but whether your Company Maternity Pay will start again is another issue.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0
