I'm sure I read somewhere on here that you have to rest meat still when cooked in a slow cooker... but I can't find the thread anywhere!
I have a joint of beef in the slow cooker at the moment and need to know whether it needs resting??
Thanks!

I always rest the meat for ten minutes or so while I thicken the gravy and warm plates etc. Enjoy!0

I rested it for 10 minutes... it fell apart so easily I couldn't believe it!! It was lovely and so was the gravy it made too... We have half the joint left as it was so big, maybe have that in rolls tomorrow for lunch!
I'm loving my slow cooker! :j0 -
Resting meat helps the juices to be redistributed and the meat fibres to relax, and it tends to be easier to carve.
