(CLOSED) free packet of cherry tom seeds

  • Thanks - I love growing my own cherry tomatoes so will use these.

If anyone spots any other free veg seeds - please let me know as I usually spend a fortune on seeds (pre-MSE days). Pity they don't send free compost through the post  ;)

    Thanks again!

I didn't see any mention of a free packet of seeds when I ordered the catalogue, and the registration page seemed to go round in circles, but I live in hope ...

As an aside, other cherry tom growers may like to know that we had an excellent crop from a Thompson & Morgan variety valled Balconi red in 2004.

  • Received my packet of gardener's delight tomato seeds with my brochure today. :D

For those with gardening know how - do you think these could be grown in a hanging basket like the Tumbling tomatoes?

If they are standard cherry tomato seeds then no they aren't going to work well, I should imagine. They will want to grow up. The tumbler tomatos naturally want to tumble down out of the basket. That said I have only ever grown standard cherry plants.
If you want tumbling varieties I remember I read last year some comments on a forum that there are two popular but similarly named basket varieties one is brilliant but one is pants apparently. I think research will be worth the effort.
