Good Mortgage Deals?

Hi to anyone that can help me. My current mortgage deal is about to end with Nationwide and they want to charge me fees of £500 to have another of their products! Now, I don't want to pay them any fees, has anyone managed to stay with Nationwide without having to pay any fees? I am quite happy to change to another lender to save on fees but I have had a look on the sites from this web page and they are not as good as what I am getting at the mo! 4.54%. I have looked at various deals, tracker, fixed and discounted. Anyone with any suggestions will be gratefully received.

You could find a competitive deal elsewhere and then explain to them that it's the £500 charge that's making the difference

What was the deal to date? 4.54%? Variable or fixed?

They used to offer the same deals to new customers and existing customers. Is that no longer the case?

It is a tracker. So 4.54% at mo. So very good at present, but will change to SVR in Feb, am desperately looking for a better deal. Nationwide may waiver the fees if I tell them I am looking elsewhere, but I don't know if anyone else has been successful with this!
