Yes the famous sandyback. Two of them went on the run and a film was made of the event. My Grandfather used to breed them when they had a farm, which funnily enough was taken by compulsory purchase to build an ammo factory on in the war. My grandmother made a trap for the inspectors in which they fell into, she also made the stairs of the house fall down when one of the civil servants was half way up them, just to make things a little more difficult for them;)

My Dad lived in Tamworth (Wilnecote). I still visit his wife. I have to say, you still have a better time of it than some close neighbours...
