A Wiltshire lad, myself - although originally from Somerset (next door).

Looks as though us 'southerners' are in the majority so far. :rotfl: :rotfl:
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I'm in Surrey, but originally from Hertfordshire.
Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free :)
    Mortgage free since 2014 :)

An apparently Affluent part of Berkshire.... The bit that's close to London, so matches London's prices.

I don't go for the North/South divide. Its a myth these days - we are all up the creek without a paddle.
  • Here's a variation on a theme for yous.

I'm a Manc but wandered over to Germany in the early 80's. Did all my debt building there. Had troubles, as we all have done, and returned to the UK in May last year to work. Didn't go so well and had to BR in December 07. EU Law dictates that the place of recent residency determines which court is responsible for processing the BR - I had german debts but HAD to go BR in England. I haven't heard from my OR since the BR because the poor sod had to write to my creditors in Berlin and Hamburg. Which language they wrote back in I do not know and now do not care as I get an AD tonight. 19th of December. I can't wait for what the insolvency website shows in the morning.

The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(
