Do I buy the presents?

This is the 1st Christmas apart since I split with my ex, so I was wondering, do I buy the presents from the 2xDS for their nana on the ex's side or is it up to the ex?

Any advice gratefully received!

  • i think it depends on how you get on with them! if they visit you often then yes but if you dont really see much of them i would leave for ex.

  • I think you need to communicate with him (if poss) and sort out who is doing what. My thought it that it is his responsibility, but knowing my OH, that could go horribly wrong!

But, as a "buffer" could they (with your help!) make something for her- even just biccies and a handmade card, or just buy a few (cheap) things or chocs and package them up "from the LOs"?
  • I buy from my DD for ex's parents (I also buy for ex's g/f her daughter ex and their son). This year they have a photo of DD a book for her granddad and some smellies for her nanny total cost about £12

OH thinks I'm mad but they did have DD for 3 weeks this summer so we could go on honeymoon.
Ex's sisters both still buy for DD but I don't buy for their 6  kids for xmas or birthday - I leave that up to ex.

It's up to you really but personally I feel they are still her grandparents no matter what sort of a*** their son is.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
