Comet Clearance items

Our local Comet seems to be clearing a lot of ex display stock or old stock. I brought an 80GB Ipod classic today for £75 because they aren't selling them anymore, only the 120GB version. I bought one of these in the summer for almost twice that price. The only snag is that there is no box, but the guarentee is still the same - 12 months.
They also had some older Ipod nanos at £50 and several other brands of MP2 player. They had some TVs and clearance laptops too so well worth a look if you are thinking of buying anything like this.
Hth :-)

Thing with old iPods is that the battery life is so awful (and yes, even if you replace it with a better battery) that they end up being frustrating paperweights. (not to rain on your parade or anything)

I have the same model and there is nothing wrong with the battery life. Mine runs for hours before I have to charge it up again. I am very pleased with it tbh.
Each to their own I guess :-)

I was posting what I thought was useful information, that my local store has a clearance sale on a lot of items, so if people are looking for pressies they might consider having a look, so no I wasn't joking. I won't bother posting anything I find on this site again because people obviously can't take posts in the spirit in which they were attended. I will go back to lurking :-)

Mine is the older 60gb model and I've not had a problem with battery life? Maybe you have bought a dodgy 'un in the past!!!Quidco Earnings (since Dec 06): £467.750 -
I Think that Ricflairandy was referring to sulkcutblues comment about the battery life not your OP.0

Just to say I have an almost 3 years old 30gb iPod Classic and the battery life is great, even after all of the use it's had and amount of recharges it's had!0
