Market Research For Washing Up Liquid

Hi, not sure if this is the right category but I wanted to ask if anyone has ever done a survey where they had to smell various washing up liquids and give opinion.
I think I've just made a complete !!! of myself. I have no sense of smell and just blagged a survey coz I was too embarrassed to say (due to the hooter being massive and should be able to smell a fly breaking wind). Do they put a rogue bottle in to smell? I'm mortified to think I may have said that something that smelled like a stink bomb was lovely!! I thought the lady was looking at me funnily, but I'm hoping I was just over-reacting!
The survey was for Fairy washing up liquids.

Yeah I once randomly got approached in the street for baked bean tasting. It was awesome as I was a bit hungry anyway.Kavanne

I haven't been asked about fairy liquid sniffing but I did one last week for Colgate toothpaste for which I earned a fiver:j0

Can you not ask another person in your household or invite a mate over to smell test for you? they could then say if it was lemony, pine-fresh, etc and if it was very strong or not.
You could also always say that you have no sense of smell due to having a cold?0 -

I once got asked to taste test rice puddings while I was out on my lunch break, just had to fill in a questionaire/survey then go back the next day (lunch break again) and do the tasting. Got £20 total (£10 for each day).0 -
where does this happen???, I never seen that going on except in supermarkets but your free taste is your rewards, bonus reward if your allergic to it

The rice pudding tasting I did was years ago, I just got stopped in the shopping centre by a market researcher with a clip board. I usually just say I'm on my lunch break and don't have time to answer questions but this time for some reason I let them stop me (I think I felt sorry for them as it was it was freezing cold). They sent me to a nearby hotel to do the tasting, sounds a bit strange but it was a well known hotel (part of a chain) and they had a large function room there all set up, rows of tables and lots of people.0 -
