I am looking to remortgage soon and

last time we did I used a website that allowed you to see the true cost of what you were borrowing along with how much the repayments were, who from etc etc.
However, after a computer upgrade  I have not got my old favourites and don't know what the site was. So after about three days of trying to find a useful site I thought i would ask you guys (never let me down before :D )

Also, if I only wanted a two year mortgage (or loan for that matter) what is the best way to go about it as in who will give us a mortgage for two years........most are saying 5 years minimum :)

EDITED TO SAY THAT I HAVE FOUND THE SITE BUT... would appreciate some help on the 'two years bit'

    Hello Emmy

There are some lenders who would look at two years, Bank of Scotland, Cheltenham & Gloucester, Coventry, Nationwide. It would also depend on the amount you want as they have varying minimums.

    I hope this helps

  • Moneysupermarket.com is a good site for comparing mortgages.
  • I've just got a great 2 year deal with Bank of Ireland by using the London & Country link on this website. I also got a quote through Charcol and although on the face of it their's was cheaper the cost of the Bank of Ireland mortgage was cheaper over the 2 years because there are very little fees invloved. Can't fault either of them om customer service though.

As posted there are many many lenders doing 2 year incentive periods. Abbey, halifax, Northern rock, Chelsea, nationwide to name but a few. i would plug my free mortgage advice services for the company i work for but not sure if allowed.

consult a broker, they will cut the time it'll take you looking by over half.
