Hi just wanted to share this with you as if your looking to buy some furniture!
We have a concession dept of The Pier in our local Debenhams (Basildon). I love their range of waxed Oak furniture but when I see the price:eek: Now I have coverted the Veneto Oak console table for about 18mths now, but never had £199 to buy it, was in store day, have purchased lots of xmas dec's in recent weeks in there. As a passing comment I asked how much the console table had been reduced to the assistant check with manager and she it was £119 now, but as it was the last one and display stock I could have it for £89 BARGAIN!! a quick phone call to the OH and the table is mine I am well chuffed :j
A cold filled stressed out mummy is happy, I know some people think it is expensive and overated store, but I don't think I could get an MDF oak veneer one for that price HTH someone
Cheers

The Pier is going to the wall hence the discounts. If you take the time to search before you post, it's been talked about for some timeThe thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

Ooooh get her.
No the wonder you have the comment you do in your signature. You should try being nice, then maybe thanks might be more forthcoming. :rotfl:0 -
I know I'm a newbie but..
I don't see anything wrong with jackkelly giving us details of an actual sale price for a particular item. Also what a great further reduction!
I've always thought The Pier looked overpriced so it's nice to have a comment about this range of furniture.0 -
think ill take a trip to the shop as everything i like online is out of stock. im after a sideboard and tv unit. fingers crossed!0

Hi to Sid I was well aware the The Pier was going to the wall, and yes I did do a search before hand aswell thank you. But I thought this was grab it while you can board and me grabbing the last item in the shop at a knock down price constituted this, so thought others might be able to do the same.
Good to see the christmas spirit it not lost on some
.
I would say definately check in store as Basildon had had a large delivery of furniture from the warehouse to sell off.0 -
Are you a member of the forum police? as this post is similar to the one you posted on the woolies thread.Sid_Harper wrote: »The Pier is going to the wall hence the discounts. If you take the time to search before you post, it's been talked about for some time
Why oh why do you need to ask for thanks? Is that something you do normally when you are out and about?0 -
Sid Harper - start being nice.
Some people just like to show authority when they don't even have any!! It's laughableEnvy is the most stupid of vices, for there is no single advantage to be gained from it.:A0 -
Hello
Just thought peeps should know that I was just in Debenhams in Southsea and the staff were clearing The Pier concession. Everything was being packed in boxes and being moved off the shop floor even though customers were still looking and buying. The biggest discounts were 50% on some things but mostly 40% on other stuff. HTH someone...0 -
