Well, it's all been quiet for me really - been letting the DMP payment go to CCCS, filing the letters from creditors, etc. Egg have sent me a letter saying that my account is terminated (well, durrrr!!). It does say that my account will be handled by an external Debt Collection Agency........which does make me feel a little eeeepy! But it also says that they will be in contact within the next 10 days unless Egg have agreed repayment terms with me, or a third party representing me, for repayment of the outstanding balance.
They've never acknowledged my DMP in a letter, never said anything about payments made, etc - will the DCA be contacting me or CCCS?? I know that I have to let CCCS know if anything does get passed over to a DCA so they know where to send payments, but was wondering if it meant that they'd contact CCCS, seeing as they know that they're the ones managing my DMP?Smober since 05/12/2008 :j

ianmak - only 2 of my 9 creditors defaulted me, even my loan which I drop payment by nearly 1/2 did nothing. I think most of reasonable its just giving them a push now and again.0

I just costed my half of bills in with CCCS, didn't want to involve my other half as I got myself into the mess! (Though he is now signing up DMP too as he has realised since I did that it'll be a huge weight off his shoulders!) xx:j Only 5 years until I'm debt free! :j

Hi:j
I ahve been avidly reading this board for the passed 2 months and it got me to start my DMP, I make my first payment to CCCs on the 1st May, i sent out token payments this months and this morning received a letter from RMA saying they ahve been instructed by Alliance and Leciester to contact me.
I am taking it that this is just a standrad letter and i dont need to do anything about it, i guess i am experiencing that nervous feeling.0 -
Hi anyhelptaken,
It's probably just a standard letter saying they are dealing with your account - but you will need to let CCCS know if they have taken over the debt as CCCS will have to pay them instead of A&L (and need to know the details).
If in doubt, email CCCS or ring them - they'll let you know what they needworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
it says A&l have instructed them to contact me to secure payment of an overdue amount to bring my account back up to date.
and lists the payment methods avaialble to me.
It does not say the debt has been passed over.
I will afx it to CCCs though, many thanks.
I guess i will get a few more of these.0 -

Just to let you know I'm on a DMP with CCCS and have 2 cars on finance which are not part of the plan as they are classed as priority debts. All HP debt is classed as priority as they creditor can seize the goods if you default. Basically HP debt is classed as secured debt and hence why it comes under priority payments.LBM: 20/01/09 Total Debt: £104,050Curr Bal (25/08/12): £46,109 (55.6% Paid):jDMP Start Date: 01/03/090 -

I think you won't be sorry you changed to PP instead of Baines and Ernst....if the PP are anything like CCCS it's a huge weight off your shoulders and better still you're not paying anything for the priviledge! Just take a deep breath, get your statements and I&E information together and PP should do the rest!
Good luck honey x:j Only 5 years until I'm debt free! :j

I've received a Default notice from Egg for one of my credit cards (I have 2 cards with them). They are asking for payment of arrears by middle of May, otherwise they will issue proceedings or instruct a DCA.
My DMP is due to start in May so they should receive the first payment from CCCS about 25th May (after their payment deadline). They are still adding interest to the card balance although they've being notified about the DMP and have received a token payment.
I guess the Default notice is the standard way they proceed ? So should I send them a CCA request now ? Will this stop them passing the account to a DCA ? Can it cover the two Egg accounts or do I have to pay the £1 for each account ?
Other than this all is quiet, Barclaycard seem to have frozen charges and interest straight away on one account so hopefully that means they are accepting my DMP.0
