This is a good idea...we should revisit this thread on the 17th of June and see how we've done!:eek:
My targets are:
* Pay off Studio Catalogue (£140)
* Decrease DF Date by 4 months over what is originally forecast (at least) by making extra payments to my DMP
* Fill sealed pot so I will need a second one

Ooh what a good idea! I'm going to try to:
- Pay off DLC (£360.29)
- Pay off Additions (£160)
- Have at least £250 in my emergency fund towards next Christmas / Car MOT
- Save my £2 coins in a sealed pot

My main aim is to fill my £500 coin bank with £1 coins. (it was really cheap - much better than a terramundi!)
I've been stuffing tenners in it too!
Because I have to destroy the tin by opening it with a can opener there is no temptation to dip into it.
I want to re-do the bathroom with the contents!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Mine will be to pay off the £1400 balance of my Egg card (although I have asked them for the £1,100 worth of PPI cover back as I have a pre-existing medical condition) - obviously if they pay it back, this might be easier!
Similar with Sainsburys - £1,380 balance and £1100 worth of worthless PPI cover;
Pay off my council tax arrears from 5 years ago (which the Council have only just got around to telling me about - all £700 worth! Only £360 left to pay);
Get a better deal on my mortgage when I come off my fixed rate in March - presently sub-prime on 6.59% but have had preliminary discussions with another firm at circa 5% (saving me £120 a month - thankfully I'm looking for 50% LTV so quite favourable);
To continue seeing an improvement in my credit score enough that in July, I can get rid of my 8 year old car and get something a bit more reliable!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
