chocolate jaffa cake - marmalade filling

Ok this is a long shot but about 15 years ago - told you it was a long shot, essentials or prima did a recipe for a chocolate jaffa cake recipe, it was a chocolate sponge soaked in grand marnier (if I remember) and in the middle it was either apricot jam or orange marmalade and then on top it had a chocolate gnache (can't spell that) lol.

Does anyone remember this or is able to help me out by giving me the recipe?

There was a thread over in Old Style a while back about 'giant jaffa cake' cakes - would that be the kind of thing you're looking for? I'd have a search for it, I think people suggested things like orange jelly made up with juice, marmalade, that kind of thing.

The website you are thinking of is this one, but it doesn't have a chocolate sponge base - just plain.

I Googled "Grand Marnier chocolate cake" and there are several recipes.

Hi Gingernutmeg, but that's not the sort of thing I'm after - it's a rich chocolate cake with marmalade in the middle and then the whole cake is covered with an orange liquor and then covered in a chocolate icing of some kind.
