The Tesco I work at is shut for Boxing Day as well! Although you should
n't need to much more than those listed.

Might be a good idea to make sure you have plenty of car bits such as de-icer, coolant, oil etc. We just stocked up so we have the stuff we need for when we go out over the Christmas period.

i can understand the need to have some items put away for emergencies, but it makes me laugh when you see people rushing round like the shops are closed for a week! although i reckon all shops should be shut for xmas day and boxing day! theres enough time to be prepared!

Batteries as you can guarantee you'll need some if you don't. My other double checks are kitchen foil and bin bags. The rest can usually survive / wait till the shops open.
