Travel Speaker offers at Creative (merged)

I have some Creative "Travel Sound 200" speakers - they're excellent when travelling about for listening to laptops or MP3 players. I paid about £25.00 on Ebay some time ago (RRP about £30).

My sister in law wants me to get her one of these items too (she lives abroad), so I've just had a look around to see what I could get. I'm astonished to see that on the Creative Website, the same speakers as mine but *with* an in-built MP3 player is now only £34.00 *delivered*!

To give you an idea of what kind of bargain this represents, the same item is listed here for £119....

I can't vouch for the MP3 player version of the speakers, but for just an extra fiver over the excellent "base speaker" price, it's gotta be worth it. Here's the link...

I have the "speaker only" model & they are excellent...crystal clear & a surprisingly full sound to them for their size. The battery last for ever (25 hours!). I note that the MP3 player model must consume a little more as the batteries last 20hours 9still a long time though!)

I can't comment about the quality of the MP3 player, but it's not a particularly big further outlay as you're essentially getting an MP3 player built in (holds about 50 songs) for a fiver over & above the speaker price of thirty quid.

Ideal for the beach, the office, the bathroom, on holiday etc etc

You can also expand the memory to 256Mb using SmartMedia cards. If you can buy a few cards cheaply then you could potentially carry around quite a lot of music by just swapping the cards over as required.

    Excellent!

This will go great with my Creative Zen Juke box and will make brilliant use of a load of spare Smart Media Card.

Thanks to Rob123 - great lead...

Yes...just plug the supplied (Creative) cable into your Ipod headphone socket. If you have an IPod, I'm not sure you'd need the MP3 version though....just order one of the speaker only models listed here...

There's even one coloured white (TravelDock 900) to match the Ipod.

The other speakers in the Creative range aren't reduced, but they'll still be excellent as they all use the same drivers as mine.

    Hi Everyone,

Creative are doing a special on their travel speakers. Half the normal price until 10th March. You have to add postage around £4 but cheaper than most places.
