I had a look too and was going to buy the four items without the meals, I hate their food so I usually buy the gifts for a pound each if they have something I would like to collect. I love hello kitty (did the aviator give that away???) so they will be for me!!!!0

The diary is really good for a mc donalds toy ( daughter got one yesterday). It looks like it would sell for over a quid in the shops. You get a sheet of hello kitty stickers too.0

OH had an extra value meal yesterday and tried to buy a Hello Kitty diary for me as a surprise but they would not let him buy one on its own!!! I have never heard of this before and have bought many toys without the meals as I don't eat their food. Has anyone else had this problem? OH might be getting a Hello Kitty happy meal in the week then :cool:0

you may have got a new-ish assistant who just didn't know you can buy toys on their own, mcd's buy them in at 42p, of course they'll sell you one at 99p :-)
if not, a meal might be worth the extra pound if you want the fruit or carrot bag, and a bottle of tropicana or water.52% tight0 -
Yesterday passed by McD and they had big notices up showing the Hello Kitty toys and free childrens Narnia cinema ticket with every Happy Meal. Decided to buy DD1 & DD2 a meal each as they love Hello Kitty and we haven't yet been to see the film. Got given a Narnia toy and no cinema ticket - told they haven't yet had their stock in yet. Why oh why put up the advertising if they haven't started stocking them yet?? 2 very disappointed children!0

You can swap the toy when the Hello Kitty ones come in if you want & I would complain about the Narnia ticket as I know my local McDonalds has had them in for a while although I personally haven't been in but I know others who have.2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please!

does Mcds not do a different toy every week anymore then, so you have to go every week to build up the collection?
its just that everyone seems to be getting different Hello Kitty toys - my local Mcds only has the hello kitty bags at the mo, so presumed that next week they would have one of the other toys, is this not the case???
