Cheap DVD+RWs at Makro

I usually buy blank media from www.svp.co.uk as they're one of the cheapest around.

SVP sell spindles of Verbatim (4x) 4.7Gb DVD+RW Discs at £5.24 for a spindle of 10.

I've just had the Makro Mail through the post and they are selling the following from Wed 18th January ....

Verbatim (4x) 4.7Gb DVD+RW 25 spindle for £12.99 each or 2 for £15

Taking into account VAT this works out at £17.63 for 50 discs.

The same amount from SVP would cost £26.20 plus postage costs.

Other similar items are:

Verbatim (52x) CDR 100 Spindle .... £14.99 each or 2 for £20
Verbatim (16x) DVD+/-R 50 Pack ... £14.99 each or 2 for £20

Handy Hint .... although Makro offers don't officially start till Wednesdays, if you call into Makro in the evening on the Tuesday before, you should be able to pick them up at the offer price ... I've done this on a number of occasions in the past !!

  • Sorry to say this , but that offer is very poor , try UKDVDR, very good prices and you wont get counterfeit discs, a spindle pack of 50 dvd-+ or-r would cost under a tenner, with p&p, £15

Are you talking about R or RW's?

The +R deal wasn't the grabbit ... it was the +RW discs ! I only mentioned the R's in case anyone was interested !

I've just checked out UKDVR and the cheapest DVD+RW's they sell are £3.79 for a spindle of 10 ... which equates to £18.95 for 50 discs ( and that's without adding the postage ) ..

So ... Makros deal of £17.63 is cheaper than UKDVDR ... and I very much doubt that Makro are selling fake Verbatims !

You said that UKDVDR would sell a spindle of 50 DVD R's for £15 with postage ... well for £20 I can get 100 DVD R's from Makro .... so even the R's are cheaper than UKDVDR !!!
