Thanks to my Wife....

I dont know whether or not this is the right place to post this but... My wife recently has begun using this website and this forum all the time. Since we've been married we have been in a great deal of debt and not really doing anything about it. It's hindered us in buying a house and we'd kind of reached a point where we couldn't properly plan for our future together with such a large burden hanging over our heads.
But since september last year my wife has been so determinded and focused on clearing our debt that not only have our target debt-free day in our sights for this year but we've still managed to have a fairly decent social life. Without her I certainly would have been as focused or as organised and nowhere near achieving that. She works full time in a very stressful job and does extra shifts at night in a pub to earn extra cash. She's always looking out for ways to cut cost and, thanks to the members on this website, we've managed to save a lot on buying gifts and making the most of the special offers found here.
I just wanted to let her know that I love her and thank her for being so undeterred in our drive for debt-free happiness.

Good for you. Sounds like you've got a good one there. Hang on to her. Buy her some flowers and on the day you're debt free, hold a party.0

What a lovely post!
sob, sniffle.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Show her this thread i'm sure she'll appreciate that too.
Good look with the debt clearing this year!In debt no more!0 -
What a lovely lovely way to thank your wife!!
Can you pass on your thoughtfulness to my husband who accuses me of nagging every time I mention money saving?Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -
Make sure you get the flowers when they've been reduced to less than half price!
You can either get her a larger bunch or spend the difference on a bottle of half price Cava!
Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.0 -

Behind every man is a great woman....and all that.
Or in my case a man, well sometimes a woman. Enough of my sexuality...
Excellent post. Well done to the both of you. All the bestThe problems of the world cannot possibly be solved by skeptics(sic) or cynics whose horizons are limited by the obvious realities. We need men who can dream of things that never were.
